Trail Snacks: How to Fuel as an Endurance Athlete

A sports nutrition workshop designed to empower trail runners and cyclists with the knowledge and skills needed to elevate their performance and play in the outdoors.

Join us (virtually) on Tuesday, April 2nd, at 6:00pm for a sports nutrition webinar led by TMP coaches and registered dietitians, Colleen Shields & Rachel Nawrocki.

They will cover common questions surrounding fueling for outdoor pursuits, including...

  1. How should I adjust my daily meals to reflect my training volume?

  2. What’s the deal with carbs, protein, and fat for active humans?

  3. What and when should I eat before, during, and after endurance activity?

  4. How do I know if I’m eating enough to power my play on the trails?

Plus, some time for live Q&A at the end of the session!

For those unable to attend the live webinar, a recording will be available within 24 hours for one month, so you can watch at your convenience.

Cost: $25
Open to TMP members and non-members

Is this for me?

Meet Your RDs:

Meet Colleen Shields, RD

A lover of baked goods and long days in the mountains, Colleen loves to help athletes of all experience levels reconnect with food, their sport, and their bodies without any nutrition nonsense. In addition to her personal outdoor adventures and over six years of experience endurance coaching with TMP, Colleen is a licensed registered dietitian who personally understands the unique fueling demands of mountain sports. She seeks to create a positive relationship between food and athletes by empowering individuals with the knowledge and skills needed to fuel both life and sport without taking the joy out of eating.

Meet Rachel Nawrocki, RD

Rachel grew up along the small coast of New Hampshire. While she enjoyed all the outdoor activities that came along with the ocean, her true passion lay among the mountains and the sport of ski racing. After many dedicated years of training and competitive racing, she pursued Division 1 ski racing for the University of New Hampshire. There she learned the true importance of fueling the body for high level competition. She graduated with a degree in Nutrition and went on to complete her Dietetic Internship at Montana State University, moving across the country to Bozeman. With Montana as her new playground, she can be found alpine skiing, backcountry skiing, hiking, trail running, and exploring the outdoors. She’s always up for a new challenge and loves pushing the boundaries of her performance, keeping grounded with her nutrition and fueling techniques.

Rachel is a licensed Registered Dietitian and is pursuing a career working with athletes and individuals. She seeks to combine her competitive drive and experience to aid active, like-minded individuals in reaching their lifestyle and performance goals.
