Who is Montana Wilderness School?

MWS is a local non-profit that gets high school kids, especially those who might not otherwise have the means, into the outdoors on expeditions where they foster new skills and learn to be stewards of our lands.

This year, MWS is raising funds at Give Big for their equipment fund because it's hard to have a successful backpacking or climbing trip without reliable and safe gear.

MWS needs to replace all 38 of their tents this year; that's $9500. We’ve set the goal of raising $2k at our event, which will buy 8 tents!

All proceeds from the class and party donations will go directly to MWS's Give Big Equipment Fund.

We're excited to celebrate our community and Give Big together!

Can’t make it in person?

Why MWS?

So, to sum it up, I gave you the boy, and you gave me back the man. Twice. They really are different, and not just on a mountain or on a river. What you do with those kids is truly amazing. I think by giving them such an immersive experience, and by trusting that they can handle big things, they deepen and mature in amazing ways. You change lives.

“My daughter would have never been able to go on an outdoor expedition like this without the scholarship. We feel so privileged that she was given this opportunity and experience. Not only was it the highlight of her summer, but it has also motivated her to pursue a career in the outdoors.”
