We all have limited time. We’re balancing everything L-I-F-E with our love of time in the mountains, and the goal is to be in those mountains frolicking like a mountain goat as much as possible. To do this, you need fitness, you need strength and you need to be injury-free.

Our Run Conditioning & Maintenance programs are built specifically for mountain runners to prepare our bodies for the eccentric toll of downhill running and the unique fitness requirements of uphill sports. We focus on ankle stability, hip & glute firing, leg turnover & power, building a strong core, and more. You can expect playful, challenging and ever-changing workouts from us that can be modified for all abilitiesβ€”even if it’s your first time in a gym or your second time at the Olympics.

How does it work?

Two Programs. Two Focuses.

Run Conditioning is 8 weeks, with 16 unique workouts dedicated to pre-season conditioning and built on a progressive load to prepare your body for the unique demands of trail running in the mountains.

Run Maintenance is 8 weeks, with 16 unique workouts dedicated to in-season maintenance workouts to keep you fit and resilient as your run training/objectives pick up.

Workouts take about 1 to 1 1/4 hours to complete. 10 mins to watch the coach-led instructional video and 50-60 mins to perform the work out on your ownβ€”these are not hour long follow along type videos.

Never Repeat a Workout.

Strength training doesn’t need to be boring. All 32 workouts are unique. No workouts are repeated EVER. Think fun, playful & hard workouts that focus on hip, core, glute & single leg strength, PLYO, & more.

Full Exercise Video Library.

We’ve built a full video exercise library that breaks down every exercise, illustrating proper form, movement and modifications. If you are unclear how to properly perform or modify an exerciseβ€”this is your go-to resource.

Modifications Available.

We have athletes of all abilities and experiences and build workouts that can be modified to fit your experience and fitnessβ€”we encourage this!

As much as possible, we provide modifications for those who lack access to equipment. Here is a list of our most used equipment with recommendations of gear to invest in to get the most out of your training.

If you’re new here, we’re a Bozeman, MT based gym where everything we do inside supports all you do outside. Founded by ultra runner, former lawyer, & Doritos lover Mike Wolfeβ€”with a lot of help from the badass women & coaches, Emily Kipp & Colleen Shieldsβ€”we’ve developed a strong Montana community of athletes of all ages & abilities.   • Trail runners and power hikers or anyone spending long days exploring the mountains on foot.

    If your goal is to improve your performance or enjoyment of trail running, this program is for you.

  • There are two workouts a week that will take 1 to 1 1/4 hours to complete, including watching the video and set up.

  • No. Each workout comes with a 10 minute instructor led video of the workout and a written description. The instructor does not lead you through the full hour long workout. You perform it on your own.

  • No, but we try to provide equipment and exercise modifications for those without access to full gym equipment. Here is a list of the most recently used equipment and what we recommend purchasing to get the most out of your training.

  • No, while base fitness is helpful you can jump right in and adapt the workouts to your needs.

    Our program is built on a progressive load; it starts out easier and gets harder as you progress. If you’re getting back into shape or not used to this style of conditioning, you can incorporate more rest and reduce the weight you use to adapt it to your needs.
