ACL Injury in Skiers: Prevention and Management

What: ACL tears are the most common knee injury, accounting for up to 50% of all knee injuries.

Want to learn how to reduce your risk of an ACL injury as we head into ski season? Curious about the newer research that shows women are more likely to experience ACL injuries? What about if you do tear your ACL, what does treatment look like?

Join board-certified orthopedic surgeon, Dr. Emily Harnden, and TMP’s physical therapist, Chelsee Pummel, from Pummel Physical Therapy for a talk about all things ACLs. Both Harden and Pummel are longtime members of the TMP community who understand the unique challenges of injury and the role fear of injury plays in our lives.

What we’ll cover:

  • ACL stats

  • Risk factors

  • Prevention

  • Treatment

  • Rehab/post-op

The event is free and open to all, no need to be a current member at TMP. See you on November 11th!
