If you are a climber (Alpine, Ice, or rock), runner or skier (Backcountry, Skimo or Cross Country), cyclist (mountain, road, cyclocross), or backcountry hunter, this intensive one-day workshop will provide you with an important tool you can use to improve your endurance performance. The focus of this day will be on teaching you the theory behind and practical implementation of Muscular Endurance (ME) to most mountain sports.
• History of Muscular Endurance Training
• Universality of ME
• Physiologic theory over view of ME
• Adaptations to and limitations of ME
• Methods of ME training
• Local vs Global endurance
Break 11:00-1:00pm. Lunch on your own, option 1-hour run from the gym, to get blood flowing.
• Application to various sports
• Risks and rewards
• Specific techniques and their applications
• Periodizing ME in different sports
• Integrating ME into your training
• Question and answer period
Beer, refreshments, snacks, and mix/mingle (more Q & A) with Scott and local professional athletes in attendance.
